Bella's Double Denim

Hey everyone, it's Bella again! I really enjoyed my last post with Em so she's let me blog about this 70's double denim number that I put together! I don't usually go for double denim, but I really like the two contrasting shades of denim with the washed pale trousers which are my Topshop Mom Jeans and dark shirt that I bought in H&M in Switzerland!

I've been really admiring Kylie Jenner (hasn't everyone) at the moment so really this outfit was inspired by her! This is a very casual and simple outfit which I have worn with my white Birkenstock sandals and Accessories mirrored sunglasses. I really like this comfy outfit and I think it would look really good if the shirt had short sleeves, or even with a denim halter neck in the same dark shade which would look cute and make this even more summery!

Cute Culottes

Hey guys, I hope you've had been having a lovely weekend!
So this is the outfit that I wore shopping yesterday, I don't usually wear culottes unless I'm on holiday for some reason, but yesterday I decided I wanted a change from my long wide leg trousers and dresses so I decided these were the perfect item to mix it up a little.

These culottes are so comfy and I found them really easy to style with a simple black knitted crop top my trusty white sandals which I have lived In this summer and a very simple gold necklace. These culottes could be worn with any colour top I think as they are black and white, most colours would look good. I really like how these look, from a distance like a cute girlie midi skirt, when in actual fact they're not. These are definitely a summer must have as they are different to other garments that I own. I really like the bold palm tree print which is really on trend at the moment. I doubt Primark sell these anymore as I bought them last year but I'm sure there are similar ones out there! This is definitely my favourite outfit of the month so far, and everything is from Primark! I have added some links below to some similar items to what I am wearing!

D.I.Y Louboutin's

Happy Friday guys!!

So today's post is a little different to my previous ones! It is my 21st birthday in September and I really wanted some fab shoes, so I had been looking at ones online... especially admiring Christian Louboutin's infamous red soled beauties! Obviously I can't afford the real thing so I decided I would make my own for so much cheaper !

To begin with I shopped around for the 'perfect shoes' that will go with my birthday dress. I finally found them in the Next sale for a whole £16 from £32 (ish)!

I then researched the best way to paint the bottom of shoes and found that using wall paint and clear acrylic were a popular thing to use as well as a simple nail varnish and clear top coat- so I decided to use nail varnish as it would be cheaper!

When it came to painting the soles of my shoes, I covered the fabric around the sole with masking tape to avoid getting the paint on to the rest of the shoe. I also made sure there was no dirt on the soles before I painted them so I gave them a quick clean with soapy water which did the trick.

The nail varnish I used to paint the soles of these shoes was a 'Miss Sporty' red in the shade 150 (which was £1.99 a bottle I think), I got two bottles (one for each sole as the bottles are only small and need more than one layer). I then painted each sole with two coats- leaving each one to dry before I added another coat.

I then left them over night before adding two layers of 'Collection Top Coat' (which was about £2.99). I decided to use a clear nail varnish to keep the red on as if my nail varnish can stay on without getting chipped after working or washing up I think it can stay on the bottom of some shoes- even if it doesn't last that long!

Once the clear had dried my own Louboutin's were finished! I can't wait to wear this next month, and I will be doing a post on my birthday outfit- including these beauties! I hope you like this post- if so let me know and I can try and do more like this!!

Have a lovely weekend!

Sisters in Summer

Hey guys, I hope you're week has been good so far! Today's post is slightly different because I have got my not so little sister Bella involved! She will be writing about her outfit too! This week we are up at our Grandpa's and his garden is the perfect place for a photo shoot! As my previous posts have been just about my outfits, this was really fun too shoot so if you like this, I will do more including Bella.

Today I wore my trusty floral Missguided scuba trousers which are the comfiest things to wear, I have teamed them with a white Primark off the shoulder crop top, white sandals, my cute Asda sunglasses and the black handbag. I love wearing these trousers as they go with any kind of white, black or nude crop tops and they are so easy to dress up or down! I like to role the bottoms of them up for a more casual look.

Hey everyone, its Bella, so I thought I would write to you about my outfit, which I hope you all approve of. The trousers I have worn are from the wonderful Tesco and when I wear them I feel as though I am wearing pyjama's, they are that comfy. As the trousers are printed I thought I should team it up with a simple yet elegant top which is from Miss Selfridge and also is very comfy. It is off the shoulder and the material is very soft and was worth the buy. My glasses are from Accessorize and I love them. The lenses are mirrored and I love them as they go with everything. My lemon bag I brought in the New Look sale for £6.50! BARGAIN! I love it as it is funky and it brings a simple outfit to life and adds some fun. The sandals I wear with this outfit are Birkenstock style gold sandals and they are the most comfiest sandals I think I have ever worn. I brought them last year in River Island and I wear them all the time and they go with most things. I think this is a simple outfit which is made funky and fun with the accessorise and shoes.

I hope you have liked today's post, leave me a comment or email if you'd like us to do more of these double posts!! I have added links to the garment and shop lists above with either the same item or ones that are similar.

Pretty Paisley

Hey guys! I hope you are having a fab weekend, mine has been pretty chilled!

Today I wore this pretty paisley white and blue skater dress (which kind of reminds me of Greek crockery) which my sister bought from missguided a year or two ago. I haven't worn this dress before, because to be honest I forgot about it, but I found it this morning hiding between two other dresses and I decided today is the day that I shall wear you! I teamed it with my simple white Primark sandals (because they go with everything) and a big floral statement necklace, which is also from Primark. I wore my M.A.C red lipstick (yet again) to add an extra splash of colour into the outfit. I find this dress is really easy to dress down as well as up, if I were to wear it in the evening, I would probably wear summery wedges or simple heeled sandals for that extra bit of height and elegance.

M.A.C Red Lipstick

Hey guys! So today I had a lovely afternoon with Mum & Dad and we went for a walk around Wrest Park. I love it there its so peaceful and really picturesque I will definitely doing a shoot here at some point! It has been lovely weather in good'ol Bedfordshire today too which was lush as I love the sun!

On this cute afternoon out I decided to wear two sets of stripes, a navy & white vertical striped skirt from Primark that I bought about 3 years ago which is so comfy and summery and a navy and white horizontal striped spaghetti strap crop top that my sister got in Zara a couple of years ago in Italy. I love Co-ords, so I decided to match these two garments together to create my own cute summery statement co-ord outfit. I also wore my trusty paisley blue kimono and white sandal flip flops that are also from Primary for a casual summery feel. As I was wearing a lot of blue and white, I decided to throw more colour into the mix by wearing the gorgeous 'M.A.C Red' M.A.C lipstick which stays on for hours without the need for topping up!

My Favourite Garment of July

The one piece of clothing that I have loved and worn a lot of are wide leg trousers. I hadn't usually gone for wide leg trousers before as I have found that they make me look even shorter than normal! But when I walked into Primark and saw the black and white zigzag I fell in love with them! They are so easy to wear! I have teamed them with another primary buy; the off the shoulder crop top. These trousers would really go with any colour top as black and white go with anything! I also wore them with flip flops as a casual look for the day. I think I bought these for about £9 in the sale, which is an absolute bargain... I just couldn't resist.

My second pair of wide leg trousers are the blue printed ones that I bought for £12 from Tesco... yet again, bargain! These ones are high waisted which is perfect as they make my legs look longer! I absolutely love these as they are so floaty and comfortable. When I put them on for the first time they were so long, I had to take them up by about 3 inches, this made me feel so short! I'm 5''3 which isn't even that short! I team these with either a black or white crop top, I like the off the shoulder ones best as they show a little bit of skin.. compared to the trousers which cover the whole leg. These also look really nice with the nude/ pink cropped halter neck top that I got from asos, i'll add the link below. These look really cute with flipflops for a casual day out, or heeled sandals!

Below are three wide leg trousers that I have been admiring on missguided.co.uk.

Girl About Town

Flat Out Fabulous and Twig

Mac Red

Mehr
Pink Treat and In Anticipation

Hi guys, so today's post is all about my all time favourite M.A.C lipsticks and liners. Every girl needs a pretty pink and a bright red lipstick in their lipstick collection, right? Well I certainly have more that one of each colour but my favourite bright ones are 'Girl About Town', 'Flat Out Fabulous' and 'Mac Red'. They are so summery and are the perfect shades to finish of an outfit. I love to wear the red in winter as I tend to wear a lot of black so this bold lip colour is the perfect statement element to any outfit day and night. Girl About Town is more a summer colour I think compared too the red which is an all year round colour. Flat Out Fabulous is in the same boat as Mac Red, as it is more of a purple shade compared to Girl About Town I find it easier to wear throughout the whole year as it is bright but dark at the same time if that makes sense so its not so in your face! These three lipsticks I would wear both day and night, especially in the summer as they are fun statement colours.

The colours I usually turn to for more of a casual colour are Twig and Mehr. They are both very similar colours as they are a dark dull reddy brown natural colour. (Mehr is the pinker shade of the two). I wear both of these colours all the time as they go with pretty much everything and if I'm wearing a statement outfit and I want to wear a noticeable lipstick but not a bright one I will always go for one of these two! Both of these lipsticks go perfectly with the lip liners 'Pink Treat & In Anticipation' as they are pretty much identical colours to the lipsticks.
When it comes to wearing any colour lipstick, I always wear a liner under the lipstick as it keeps it lasting so much longer and it stops the colour bleeding.

If you haven't tried it before and want to try making your lips look fuller, I highly recommend using pink treat and either Mehr or Twig as they are a more natural shade they don't make it as obvious that you have tried to make your lips look plumper!

I hope you have enjoyed today's post! Tomorrows post will the last of my weeks worth of posts and after that I will be posting once/ twice a week from then on!
