Halloween makeup- pop art

Hey guys!! I hope you enjoyed yesterdays skull post, this is another idea for Halloween but less scary and very easy!
So step 1, put on your normal makeup- foundation, bronzer, blusher, mascara then use a brightly coloured eyeshadow- I used green and yellow as it stands out, then put your eyeliner on.
The next step is to colour in your eyebrows- the darker the better and make them bigger than you normally do, then choose a bright lipstick, the one I'm using is 'girl about town' by mac and this will be the base colour for your next step.
Step 3- use eyeliner and make little lines on your face, like I have. This will create more shape and structure to your face. Then using eyeliner again, draw around your lips, flicking it out at both ends, using black eye shadow, shade in the corners of your lips making them look bigger and bolder, then using white face paint add little bits to the centre of each lip to make it look like light is hitting them, making them look even bigger and in your face! (close up below)

Step 4- using the white face paint, add white dots all over your face finishing this pop art look off, I used the end of a brush to create these as it was the perfect size for the dots.
The final step is to draw a tear shape under which ever eye you want, use eyeliner to do this, and colour in the shape you have made in blue eye shadow.
DAH DARRH! Finished!

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial, see you again tomorrow with my third halloween makeup idea and check out my instagram for more photos and videos on these!

Enjoy!

Faux Suede

Hey Guys! I hope you had a great weekend!
The weather is so confusing at the moment you wake up and it'd freezing outside but by lunch time the sun is out and its boiling, this is what happened yesterday when I wore this outfit and I was just so hot in long sleeves and tights! But I loved this outfit so I didn't really care about the weather haha! I'm loving faux suede so much at the moment, I bought this skirt from Primark for £10! I love this skirt, it fits perfectly and it is so so soft so for a tenner this is a bargain!

I teamed the skirt with my boohoo.com lace up back crop top which is really comfy and looks nice with most skirts/ trousers that I have! I also wore black tights- as it was cold when I got dressed- and pointed black dolly shoes that are also from primark , I will add a link to them below. I also wore my faux fur gilet that I bought in primark last year, I will also add a link below to something similar as I don't think they still sell them.

The bag that I finished this outfit off with was my python Celine bag which I love so much and is by far my favourite bag ever and Tom Ford sunglasses.

So as I said on my instagram, I have just started back at Uni for my second year and will have loads of projects to keep on top of so I am going to try my hardest to keep on top of my blog as much as I can by posting at least twice a week as I have been! If you have any requests on what you would like to see me blog about feel free to leave me comments below! I also hope you all like my review post that I did the other day, I really enjoyed doing it and will be doing more in the future, it was just something different to what I have previously done and I hope you enjoyed reading it!

See you all next time!

D.I.Y Louboutin's

Happy Friday guys!!

So today's post is a little different to my previous ones! It is my 21st birthday in September and I really wanted some fab shoes, so I had been looking at ones online... especially admiring Christian Louboutin's infamous red soled beauties! Obviously I can't afford the real thing so I decided I would make my own for so much cheaper !

To begin with I shopped around for the 'perfect shoes' that will go with my birthday dress. I finally found them in the Next sale for a whole £16 from £32 (ish)!

I then researched the best way to paint the bottom of shoes and found that using wall paint and clear acrylic were a popular thing to use as well as a simple nail varnish and clear top coat- so I decided to use nail varnish as it would be cheaper!

When it came to painting the soles of my shoes, I covered the fabric around the sole with masking tape to avoid getting the paint on to the rest of the shoe. I also made sure there was no dirt on the soles before I painted them so I gave them a quick clean with soapy water which did the trick.

The nail varnish I used to paint the soles of these shoes was a 'Miss Sporty' red in the shade 150 (which was £1.99 a bottle I think), I got two bottles (one for each sole as the bottles are only small and need more than one layer). I then painted each sole with two coats- leaving each one to dry before I added another coat.

I then left them over night before adding two layers of 'Collection Top Coat' (which was about £2.99). I decided to use a clear nail varnish to keep the red on as if my nail varnish can stay on without getting chipped after working or washing up I think it can stay on the bottom of some shoes- even if it doesn't last that long!

Once the clear had dried my own Louboutin's were finished! I can't wait to wear this next month, and I will be doing a post on my birthday outfit- including these beauties! I hope you like this post- if so let me know and I can try and do more like this!!

Have a lovely weekend!
