D.I.Y Louboutin's
Happy Friday guys!!
So today's post is a little different to my previous ones! It is my 21st birthday in September and I really wanted some fab shoes, so I had been looking at ones online... especially admiring Christian Louboutin's infamous red soled beauties! Obviously I can't afford the real thing so I decided I would make my own for so much cheaper !
To begin with I shopped around for the 'perfect shoes' that will go with my birthday dress. I finally found them in the Next sale for a whole £16 from £32 (ish)!
I then researched the best way to paint the bottom of shoes and found that using wall paint and clear acrylic were a popular thing to use as well as a simple nail varnish and clear top coat- so I decided to use nail varnish as it would be cheaper!
When it came to painting the soles of my shoes, I covered the fabric around the sole with masking tape to avoid getting the paint on to the rest of the shoe. I also made sure there was no dirt on the soles before I painted them so I gave them a quick clean with soapy water which did the trick.
The nail varnish I used to paint the soles of these shoes was a 'Miss Sporty' red in the shade 150 (which was £1.99 a bottle I think), I got two bottles (one for each sole as the bottles are only small and need more than one layer). I then painted each sole with two coats- leaving each one to dry before I added another coat.
I then left them over night before adding two layers of 'Collection Top Coat' (which was about £2.99). I decided to use a clear nail varnish to keep the red on as if my nail varnish can stay on without getting chipped after working or washing up I think it can stay on the bottom of some shoes- even if it doesn't last that long!
Once the clear had dried my own Louboutin's were finished! I can't wait to wear this next month, and I will be doing a post on my birthday outfit- including these beauties! I hope you like this post- if so let me know and I can try and do more like this!!
Have a lovely weekend!

Pay day!! Surely it's one of the best days of the month, right!? Well I think so anyway. Here is a cheeky look into my wish list from missguided.co.uk and M.A.C cosmetics. These gorgeous items are what I have been looking at over the past few weeks and really really want!
Over the past month or so I have really loved this 'lace up' style that I have seen in most shops recently, and as you can see, most of this wish list is lace up.. the shoes included.
SHOES. I simply cannot get enough of them, as my friends and family know all too well . I have a shoe shelf in my room with probably about 30 (give or take a couple), to be honest I have lost count. These two pairs would look so lush on as the would off... in a space on my infamous shelf! I really like how these shoes could also be worn with a casual outfit or to finish off the perfect evening/ party outfit! They would also go with every outfit that I also have on this wish list which is just fab!
During summer I love to wear clothing like the swing dress and loose fitting tops as they are lighter and cooler to wear in the heat, (when I say heat, I mean on holiday.. Obviously not this English weather) so these cute garments would be the perfect holiday clothes!
M.A.C. So this is another brand I am totally obsessed with and have been for many years. I cannot go too a M.A.C shop without buying something.. it is usually a lipstick.
The top two images are of a recent collection called 'Look In A Box'. The top set is 'Look In A Box Lip Kit, Pretty Natural' which includes the following items for a total of £29-
1 lip liner, 'Subculture'
1 lipstick, 'Pretty Natural'
1 lipglass, 'Feeling Fine'
The second set is called 'Look In A Box Face Kit, Sophisticate which is more expensive at £49 but it includes the following;
2 powder blushes, 'Cream Soda & Linda'
6 eye shadows, 'Hey, Sun Tweaked, Wedge, With Flair, Beautifully Charred & Dance in the dark'
2 Lipsticks, 'Love happens & True red'
Duo- handed brush.
(This set also comes with a face chart to help you through the application).
I really want both of these sets and the outfits so much they are so gorgeous and would be perfect for my holiday!!

Elephant shorts
Hey guys, so I have had this blog for a while but with work and Uni I haven't had the time too post anything! I have finally found the time before I go back too uni in September to start blogging. I'm planning on doing outfit, lifestyle, travel and inspirational posts...(basically everything I love) so let me know what you think!
So here we go with my first post.
I absolutely love these elephant print shorts from Missguided, they are so cute and so comfortable. They are slightly too big for me so I can wear them as high wasted shorts, and combining them with a cute simple crop makes it a simple summery outfit.
I have styled them with a black off the shoulder crop top, and white sandals both of which are from primark. The sunglasses are also new and are from Asda! I never expected to find a lush pair of shades in a supermarket, and for only a fiver, I couldn't resist.
Shorts- Missguided
Top- Primark
Sandals (not in photos)- primark
Sunnys- ASDA
